Description

Teachers will learn the basic, foundational principles of Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD). The course will then dive into operationalizing the LTAD framework through vertically aligned, developmentally appropriate, K-12 physical education curriculum.

At the conclusion of this course participants should be able to:

  • Understand the Long-Term Athletic Development framework.
  • Identify the developmental differences between athletes.

Course Instructor Credentials

Former physical education teacher and athletic coach with 10+ years of experience in the public and private sectors. An advocate for physical literacy, athletic development, and a holistic approach in education. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Illinois College in 2010. Then, in 2012 he obtained a Master of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Jones International University, followed by a Masters in Exercise Physiology from Illinois State University in 2017.
